The Second Saturday Divorce Workshop Story

The Wake County Second Saturday Divorce Workshop is designed to help individuals facing divorce gain clarity, confidence, and practical support during one of life’s most difficult transitions. Through balanced financial, emotional, and legal education from qualified local professionals, participants receive the knowledge, resources, and support they need to navigate the divorce process and begin moving forward toward a new life.

The Second Saturday story began in San Diego in 1989, where the flagship workshop helped tens of thousands of people and raised over $500,000 for the local community through scholarships and educational programs.

Building on that success, Second Saturday Divorce Workshops are now offered in communities across the country, including here in North Carolina. Serving Wake and Johnston counties since 2014, the workshop continues to empower individuals and families with trusted information, compassionate support, and a path toward a stronger future.

Second Saturday was created by the non-profit Women’s Institute for Financial Education (WIFE.org), the nation’s longest-running non-profit devoted to female financial literacy, whose co-founders Candace Bahr and Ginita Wall are true champions for women in their quest for financial knowledge.
